Hudswell,
Clarke 0-6-0 D2500-D2509
These shunters were constructed by Hudswell, Clarke to the typical Hudswell design of the time, resembling a steam locomotive. This is an A1 Models etched brass kit and construction was by the usual methods. To make the radiator grill a bit more realistic, I cut away the etched grill and replaced it with fine mesh from behind. Sprung buffers were also fitted. Finished in BR Black livery, it carries the earlier number of 11117. It has interior cab detail and is fitted with Alex Jackson couplings. It is currently DC only, but will be converted to DCC operation with a cab light.
A few models of this class have been available. As mentioned, mine is a now discontinued A1 Models kit. Mercian Models still produce a kit and Impetus Models had produced one in the past.
