The LMS bought this 1937 built 2ft. gauge Ruston & Hornsby 33/40HP type locomotive, works number 186339, for use at the Newton Heath Plant Depot along with two other un-numbered Rustons.

It also worked on the Festiniog Railway Contract extending the Bettws-y-Coed to Blaenau Festiniog line to the former GWR line to connect to Trawsfynydd Power Station. It is though that it returned to Newton Heath. It is not known what happened to this locomotive, but it appears that it was withdrawn late 1963.
